Heart of The Swarm price

The question, that popped everybody’s mind, right after the last mission of Wings of Liberty: “What is heart of the swarm price going to be”? Indeed, how much will HoTS cost?
Starcraft 2 price (Wings of Liberty campaign) was like a full game – EUR 59,99 ( There were some localization prices, but we are talking about the Blizzard European stores ) , though the two expansions were already planned.
Well , this price is surely reasonable – some say, that the game’s development costs were around 150 million dollars, and WoL is indeed a full campaign, with epic storyline, videos, and mission branches
There are no official reports on Heart of The Swarm price yet, but the rumors say, that it will be expansion-like. We don’t really know what it means, just, that it probably is lower than the game itself (some guys spread a rumor, that it will cost around 30-40euro , but those are not solid facts, of course).

So, what is the price? We will not know, but one thing is for sure, if the HoTS expansion is at least as cool as the WoL one , we will pay any price to get our hands on it!

Keep track with us, if you want to buy Heart of the Swarm, when it’s ready!

I think, that Hear of The Swarm price should be around 30Euros. The game itself is already too pricey :(

Like most of you, I paid $60 for WOL, due to the fact that I truely enjoyed StarCraft and it’s expansion for about a decade before I stopped playing it. Yet, I feel disappointed. I shouldn’t be, the graphics were great, the new stuff was fun, and there were ALMOST as many campaign missions as the original game. Heck, when I first started playing I was like, “This is Awesome!” So, why am I disappointed? I had to seriously think about it. And this is what I came up with:
1)It FELT short. For all the cool story line, it didn’t feel epic like the original. Like it could have taken place over a few days instead of months.
2)You don’t get to play the prime characters except in a couple missions.
3)Several things were removed from the original game, such as the protoss shield battery, which was essential for their survival sometimes.
4)Skirmishes don’t allow you to use all the things you used in campaign, and once again, unlike Warcraft3, you can’t use the main characters.
5)I was laid off for a long time and $60 kinda hurt my budget. (Not saying it’s not fair pricing)
6)And last but not least, I was looking forward to playing all races in campaign, but no zerg missions were there, and I had anticipated and was excited about playing a new race, but you only get a glimps of them.

I still think the programmers did an excellent job, there is no doubting that, and it’s more my fault I’m disappointed than theirs, since I set my expectations too high thinking that there would be a bit more to it. It’s like a cafe mocca without the whipped cream, I just felt like I was missing something.
Still, I will be awaiting the next installment anxiously, and if I have the money, I will likely buy it. And anyone who hasn’t played it, know when you get to char, you only have a few missions left, and you don’t get to play the zerg.
